Nevada Board of Regents – Swadeep Nigam

Of the two seats that will be on the ballot, the Sun will offer an endorsement on only one: Nigam in District 3. Nigam is a financial analyst who has served on the Nevada Equal Rights Commission and numerous other boards, including the Las Vegas chapter of the NAACP. He is exactly the kind of person who should be on the state Board of Regents, which oversees the state’s universities and colleges similar to how a school board oversees a public school system.

Nevada State Education Association (NSEA) endorsed Swadeep Nigam for his continued commitment to affordable higher education for all students.
